Tim Guest lives in Ramsgate, Kent and works throughout the South East. He graduated with a degree in film and fine art and has also studied theatre, television and film set design. Tim is a sessional member of staff on a National Diploma Course in Theatre Production teaching drawing and theatre set design at Canterbury College as well as being involved in a variety of freelance creative projects in Kent. Tim has had exhibitions in the South East as has completed commissions for local businesses and for television productions.

Tim’s work explores man-made and natural textures using a variety of mediums. He enjoys exploring how colours and different media work together often creating a new significance to the piece with unexpected results.

Katie Welsford

"Alleyway drawing"

Katie Welsford was born in Kent and studied at the UCCA on an Art and Design Foundation course. She went on to gain a First Class degree in Fine Art Sculpture at the University of Brighton. Katie worked within the creative industry for two years, managing a digital photographic library before studying to be an art teacher. After working in Kent within secondary education, Katie now works freelance, teaching at the UCCA Canterbury, Creative Partnerships Kent and for Turner Contemporary. Katie is involved in art events, projects and exhibitions in Thanet. She is a director for Margate Rocks 2008 and she sits on the board of directors for Limbo Artist Studios in Margate.

Katie’s mixed media work has been exhibited throughout the UK and Europe. Katie has completed commissions for the NHS and Thanet Coastal Projects. In 2006 Katie took part in seven nationally selected group shows, including the “History and Identity” exhibition in Italy and “Waiting Projects” in Cornwall. She also won the “Sofa so Good” competition in Scotland. Katie has recently been selected to create new works made in response to the landscape on the Sefton Coast, Merseyside. This work will be part of a group show in the 2008 Liverpool Biennale.
