Christmas and New Year

Christmas Eve
Check in from 2.30pm
Traditional afternoon tea 4.30pm served by the log fire in our reception lounge. Enjoy the festive atmosphere as we light up the Christmas tree and a myriad of twinkling candles.

Cocktails and dinner 7.00pm
Join us for a glass of prosecco followed by a 3 course dinner chosen from our a la carte menu served in our magical, candlelit restaurant ‘The Old Dining Room’

We recommend… an afternoon stroll around the medieval streets of Sandwich – perfect for really getting into the festive spirit, last minute Christmas present buying and to work up an appetite (you are going to need one!) if the weather is inclement you can enjoy a screening of a classic movie or play a traditional board game in the hotel’s cosy Club Room

Midnight Mass If you’d like to attend Midnight Mass, St Clement’s Church is a short walk away. The service actually starts at 11.30pm. We will serve mulled wine, hot drinks and homemade mince pies upon your return to the hotel.

Continental & cooked breakfast 8.00-10.00am featuring the very best local produce served in the restaurant.

Family Christmas Day Church Service
at St Clement’s Church, Sandwich starts at 11.30am.

Christmas Day lunch

The Queen's Speech
At 3.00pm we will screen HM The Queen’s Speech in the comfort of The Club Room.

 A 3 course Kentish gourmet dinner will be served from 7.00pm in the candlelit ‘Old Dining Room’

We recommend… taking a stroll along one of the many beautiful beaches that line our coast. The National Nature Reserve at Pegwell Bay is particularly worth a visit. By prior arrangement, and depending on the tide, we can arrange a boat trip along the River Stour - make sure you wrap up well as it can get very cold.
